Aaron leaves the Navy and Hawaii
After serving six years in the U.S. Navy, Aaron left Hawaii and returned to his home state of Ohio. His family expected him to come home for school so we stuck to his original plan and I remained back on the island...

The Reuben James FFG 57 family cruise
I got to ride on Aaron's frigate, the USS Reuben James FFG 57! We went over to Kauai for the weekend. I got to see some military maneuvers -- shooting the guns and going really fast and making waves. When the ship slowed down I got sick, not because of the movement but of the gas exhaust. Aaron put me out by giving me a pill. I was out like a light.

The girls, the Navy and the Wave
Everyone asks Aaron and I how we met. He says he picked me up at a bar. I say I picked him up at the beach. My mom thought we met at UH, ha!
Truth is we met through a mutual Navy friend. We hung out at The Wave, our favorite nightclub/bar. My girlfriends and I would go to dance every weekend and Aaron and his Navy buddies would come to drink and pick up girls. Well, Aaron would be against the wall drinking while his more friendly buddies would smooze. We were dating other people at that time so we started as friends.
We hooked up when Aaron returned from his second deployment in August!
