I met Peggi and Michael for lunch at
Beethoven's Bagels in Oberlin on Friday. I had fun catching up and doing something other than work! I wanted to get a facial after lunch but I was out of luck. There were no openings that afternoon so I went home and fell asleep. Wow I needed the rest! I decided I wouldn't read my email on the weekend hoping I can relax and not worry so much about work.
Later Aaron and I were on the way out to dinner but unfortunately we got a call that Rick was on the way to the hospital. His pacemaker went off and shocked him off his feet. We ended up picking up Grandma Brlas and hanging out at the hospital to make sure Rick was settled. We did go for dinner eventually at
Smitty's down the street from the hospital. Aaron and I love the Smitty burgers which are similar to a Big Mac.
On Saturday Aaron and I woke up early to help Rick and open the church's gym for high school volleyball. Did you know Aaron used to work at the gym when he was young? We also took Grandma to visit Rick in the hospital. After, Aaron worked on a home project building shelves for his new speakers. I caught up with more sleep. We managed to go out again and took Keala and Ikaika shopping at Petsmart. Aaron and I love showing off our babies to people and our babies love shopping. Keala has never had a problem socializing with humans, especially kids. I do worry about her with other dogs, never knowing if she'll show domination. Ikaika's the total opposite of Keala -- he sniffs and gets along with other dogs but he's a nervous wreck when kids come at him from all directions. He backs up and hides behind me or Aaron. My big baby! But each time we bring them out, Ikaika's getting better at socializing. Since the weather was bad we ended up staying home the rest of the night.
Sunday... I finally opened up my emails and work stress returned with full force. A third attendant of mine decided to quit work. Once again I'll have to plan to interview and hire, along with rearranging the desk schedule again and starting my training sessions.
My brain is numb...
