Winter white

Aaron and I went out for lunch at Jammy Buggers today.  Our lunch was awesome! I had a Hawaiian pulled pork sandwich.  Now I normally don't like anything "Hawaiian" here in Ohio but man oh man, it was ono!  The sauce was a Kona coffee BBQ and the pork was sprinkled with macadamia nuts.  There was also fresh pineapple on the side.  Mmmmm!  Aaron enjoyed his pork sandwich too.

After lunch, we looked up and saw "horizontal snow".  This is what we walked out in!

ADOPTION QUEST: Paperwork done

We are finally licensed!!  Now the phone calls for child placement can begin...

Aaron's journey to a brighter smile started today.  He got two teeth pulled out in preparation for his BRACES!  Chubby cheeks is back!!

2013 Diet and Workout plan

I made two resolutions for 2013, motivated by the bad holiday eating habits and my long relaxing break.

1.  I want to cut down my meat consumption, as suggested by my doctor.  I'm going to:

• Try not to eat bacon or spam for breakfast, and only eat toast, waffles or bagels
• Eat only vegetables for lunch, maybe with a bit of pasta
• Eat more chicken than red meats

This is what I had for lunch today!  Ono!

2.  Continue working out twice a week, including cardio before weights and machines

• Work out with Eric and Liz doing boxing in winter term

ADOPTION QUEST: 2013 schedule

Some good news! Aaron's schedule changed to day shifts with just two evening shifts every 8 weeks!  How awesome is that!  It's what we dreamed for!  All that extra time we spent creating a childcare plan with evening and midnight shifts have been replaced with a much easier plan.  The only stressful period I may have is when Aaron goes out of town for FAA training in February and March/April.
