That's what the Amish would do

Aaron, Khyla and I joined Michael, Luis and Eilyn on a nice outing to Amish country, Holmes county, Ohio to be exact!

First stop... Smucker's Headquarters

Next Lehman's Hardware that has everything you can think of under one roof -- food, tools, bakery, fireplaces, furniture, etc.

Luis and his sister Eilyn trying on Amish hats

An Amish buggy driving down the road... poor horsey!

Lunch at Farmstead Restaurant in Milan, Ohio before visiting Heini's Cheese Chalet in Berlin, Ohio.

We visited a typical Amish home and learned a lot about their religion and culture.

Many present day Amish still live in homes like this! No air conditioning in 95 degree weather did me in! I had to go sit in the car and AC mid-tour!

Khyla visiting the barn. It had work horses, rabbits for pets, chickens, birds, dogs, cats and goats. I couldn't stand the smells and lasted a minute only!

Aaron and Khyla took a buggy ride and a visit to the schoolhouse. Khyla would be graduating this year if she was Amish! The hot weather got to us so we drove home after the tour. It was a nice outing with friends!
